Arsenal join Tottenham in race to sign English attacker
Arsenal have joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Nottingham Forest attacker Morgan Gibbs-White this summer.
The Gunners are expected to spend on multiple targets in the summer
transfer window and they are eyeing a versatile forward.
Gibbs-White, who can play anywhere in attack, has emerged as an option amid Forest's potential need to sell players.
Forest were recently docked four points after being found guilty of breaking the Profitability and Sustainability regulations.
The club could face a similar punishment next term if they don't recoup funds. This could influence the departure of Gibb-White.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has earmarked the 24-year-old as a potential replacement for Emile Smith Rowe in the squad.
Smith Rowe has largely fallen out-of-favour over the past two seasons and he is widely expected to pursue a new challenge.
Gibbs-White was signed by Forest for £34m up front. The deal could potentially rise to around £42.5m with add-ons.
They are expected to demand over £50m for a summer sale. Tottenham and West Ham United are also admirers of him.
