Zirkzee has also squandered clear-cut chances and reports claim that the Red Devils could send him out on loan during the next transfer window .

United believe a loan stint with regular playing time could be beneficial for him as he is unlikely to displace Rasmus Hojlund from the starting XI.

New boss Ruben Amorim prefers a physically built striker in the final third and Hojlund is expected to remain an undisputed starter this term.

There are also claims that Amorim could look to bring Viktor Gyokeres to Old Trafford next summer. Zirkzee could be sold if that happens.
