Man Utd suffer big blow in signing Juventus star
Manchester United have suffered a big blow in signing Juventus star Gleison Bremer during the summer transfer window, as per Calciomercato.
The Red Devils have identified the Brazilian as their top target for the summer, but they now face a stumbling block.
It was previously reported that they were ready to pay the €60m release clause in his contract which would become active in July.
However, Calciomercato now reveal that there is no buy-out clause this summer and it will only be active in July of next year.
The news is a huge setback for United. The Bianconeri are currently happy to keep Bremer unless they receive a significant transfer bid.
It is quite clear that United may have to pay much more than €60m. A package of around €80m could be required to sign him.
With Financial Fair Play issues, the club's hierarchy could be forced to look elsewhere in their bid to land a new centre-back this summer.
