Erik ten Hag provides injury updates on Man Utd duo
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has provided injury updates on Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof.
The Red Devils played out a 1-1 draw against
Brentford on the road on Saturday night. They were completely outclassed and were lucky to pick up a point from the contest.
In the same game, Varane was substituted at the half-time interval after picking up a knock while Victor Lindelof was taken off shortly after the hour mark with a muscle issue.
When asked for updates on the duo, Ten Hag said that Varane was substituted as a precaution while Lindelof will need to be assessed further to know the extent of the damage.
"Rapha we took him off as a precaution at half-time and Victor he came off but we have to assess him tomorrow," Ten Hag said.
United were lucky to grab a point from the west London trip. They are now 11 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa with a game in hand.
Meanwhile, there is an eight-point deficit between them and fifth-placed Spurs. United need a miracle to secure Champions League football.
