Man Utd & Liverpool set to battle for Dutch right-back
Manchester United and Liverpool could battle it out for the signing of Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong this summer.
The Dutchman has been in brilliant form for the Bundesliga outfit and he has already registered 12 goals and 11 assists from right wing-back.
His form has caught the eye of many Premier League teams and Football Transfers claim that United and Liverpool are favourites.
The Red Devils are braced to sell Aaron Wan-Bissaka when he enters the final year of his contract this summer. Frimpong is eyed as a replacement.
Liverpool have Trent Alexander -Arnold as the first-choice right-back when fit, but he could move into midfield if Frimpong were to join.
The former Celtic man is seen as a right-back at both clubs. His attacking attributes would make him an ideal fit for both of those teams.
Frimpong signed a new long-term contract at Leverkusen last summer, but it has a low release clause of £35 million active in July this year.
