Man Utd midfielder considering return to former club
Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is considering a return to his former club Ajax during the summer transfer window.
The Netherlands international signed for Eintracht Frankfurt on a short-term loan in January, but he has yet to make a meaningful impact.
Frankfurt have the option to sign him permanently for €10m, but the German outfit look unlikely to trigger the clause as things stand.
Hence, he is widely expected to return to Old Trafford and reports claim that the midfielder may consider a comeback to the Eredivisie.
Ajax are open to re-signing him for a nominal fee and both United and the midfielder could accept the proposal from the Dutch outfit.
United want to reinforce their midfield options in the summer and Van de Beek is one of many players who could head for the exit door.
Alongside him, Casemiro and Sofyan Amrabat (on loan) are expected to leave. Scott McTominay could also attract plenty of offers.
