Arsenal make contact with agent of French star
Arsenal have made contact with the representatives of Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana over a summer move, according to L'Equipe.
The Gunners are aiming to sign a new holding midfielder this summer with the prospect of Thomas Partey heading for the exit door.
Partey has had an injury-plagued career with the Gunners and he could be sold as he enters the final year of his contract with them.
L'Equipe claim that Arsenal have already had discussions with Fofana's entourage, but they are yet to make any formal transfer offer.
Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan are also admirers of the midfielder and have likewise made contact with his camp.
No price tag has been mentioned by L'Equipe, but it has previously been reported that Monaco could accept a package of around €30 million.
Fofana will be representing France at Euro 2024 next month and reports claim that his future may only be sorted after the tournament in Germany.
