Man Utd have agreed personal terms with Everton star
Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite ahead of a potential transfer, according to The Times.
The Englishman is the Red Devils' prime target for the summer transfer window and they have now finalised terms over a long-term contract.
Branthwaite will earn between £150,000 to £160,000 per week, should he successfully make the move to Old Trafford in the coming days.
The Red Devils have opened negotiations with the Toffees for the 21-year-old, but a deal may not be straightforward due to the demands.
While United value the youngster at around £55 million, the Toffees are reluctant to accept anything less than £70 million for his services.
This could potentially prolong negotiations between the clubs, but United are said to be optimistic of securing his signature by June 30.
Everton need to balance their books after their failed takeover and they desperately require a big-money sale. They are most likely to sell Branthwaite for a lesser price before the end of the month.
