Man Utd make £25m bid to sign Barcelona midfielder
Manchester United have made a £25 million bid to sign Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez, according to Sport.
The Red Devils are aiming to add more creativity in the centre of the park and Lopez has emerged as a target for them.
They recently made a formal bid of around £25 million, but the proposal was immediately turned down by Barcelona.
The La Liga giants have no desire to part ways with the 21-year-old unless there is a significant offer on the table.
Barcelona need to recoup around £85m before the end of June such that La Liga will permit them to register players.
They have plenty of senior players up for sale while Mikayil Faye could also move to Porto with a buy-back clause.
Hence, the Catalan club are not worried over Lopez, who has also committed to penning a new long-term deal with them.
The Red Devils may have to look elsewhere in the search for a creative midfielder.
