Man Utd planning to focus on French defender
Manchester United are planning to focus on Lille defender Leny Yoro amid Everton's reluctance to sell Jarrad Branthwaite, according to Daily Star.
The Red Devils have identified Branthwaite as their priority centre-back target, but they are yet to reach an agreement.
The club are willing to pay around £43m for the 21-year-old but the Toffees are adamant that they won't accept less than £70m.
United have no desire to make an improved bid. Should the Toffees refuse to compensate, they are prepared to move on to Yoro.
Yoro had a wonderful breakout season with Lille last term, but he is expected to leave them with his contract expiring next summer.
The 18-year-old has a preference to join Real Madrid, but he has not ruled out the possibility of signing for the Red Devils or PSG.
If Madrid are unwilling to pay the £40m in the near future, the teenager would be open to considering a proposal from United for him.
