Man Utd make offer to sign Belgian midfielder?
Manchester United have reportedly made an approach to sign Belgian midfielder Amadou Onana from Everton this summer.
The Red Devils are keen on landing a new defensive midfielder and they have been linked with West Ham United's Edson Alvarez lately.
However, a move appears unlikely for the Mexican ace, considering his serious hamstring injury on international duty this week.
Alvarez could be sidelined for the first half of next season and United have decided to pursue an alternate option in the transfer market.
Mundo Deportivo now claim that they have turned their attention to landing Onana and have already proposed to sign him to the Toffees.
The club are prepared to offer around £46.5m up front with a further £5m in add-ons to sign the defensive star from the Merseysiders.
Barcelona are also firm admirers of the former Lille man, but they are unlikely to compete financially with United for his services.
The Blaugrana are currently focused on a cut-price signing.
