Chelsea enter talks to sign 26-goal Canadian striker
Chelsea have entered talks with Lille over the potential transfer of Jonathan David, according to The Athletic.
The Blues are eyeing a new centre-forward and they have been linked with multiple names this month.
The club have now made contact with Lille for David, who bagged 26 goals and nine assists last season.
David's current deal with the French club expires in June next year and they have made the decision to sell him.
He was valued at around €50 million in the past, but could be available for a bargain fee in the region of €30m.
The Blues have made first contact with Lille for his services, but they are not alone in the pursuit of the striker.
David is also on the radar of AC Milan, who want a quality marksman to succeed Olivier Giroud up front.
Manchester United are also considering the Canadian star. They view him as an alternative to Joshua Zirkzee .
David wants to decide his future following the Copa America.
