Chelsea submit opening bid to sign Man Utd target
Chelsea have submitted an opening bid to sign Aaron Anselmino, who has been monitored by Manchester United for some time.
The 19-year-old is one of the best young centre-backs in Argentina and he has been fancied to leave Boca Juniors for the past few months.
United have been closely monitoring his progress, but La Nacion claim that the Blues have the upper hand, having made an opening bid.
They have offered to pay around £14m for the talented wonderkid, but Boca are reluctant to lose him for less than his £20m release clause.
Their stance could however change if Chelsea or any other club are willing to allow the player to return to them for another campaign.
Chelsea are likely to make a fresh proposal for the teenager. United have yet to respond, but may have to soon to avoid missing out.
Anselmino has been likened to Tottenham Hotspur's Cristian Romero due to strong dribbling skills and ability to make regular clearances.
