Man Utd battling Real Madrid to sign World Cup finalist
Manchester United are set to compete with Real Madrid for the signature of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot this summer.
The Red Devils are long-term admirers of the 29-year-old star and manager Erik ten Hag was keen on landing him in 2022.
Back then, the club agreed a transfer fee with the Bianconeri, but a transfer did not materialise in the end due to disagreement over personal terms.
The World Cup finalist has since become a key player for the Turin giants, but he could be leaving when his contract expires at the end of June.
Calciomercato.it claim that the Bianconeri have run of patience and they want Rabiot to make a definitive decision pretty soon.
If he does not verbally agree on a renewal, the club are prepared to pursue Nice's Khephren Thuram as his potential replacement.
Rabiot is on the radar of United and Madrid. It is claimed that both teams are exploring the option of signing him on a free transfer.
