Uruguayan star wants to join Man Utd from Euro giants
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte has opened the door to joining Manchester United in the current transfer window.
The 23-year-old signed for Les Parisiens from Sporting Lisbon last summer and he was assured regular playing time.
However, his fortunes changed in the back end of last season with manager Luis Enrique deciding to rotate his midfield.
Ugarte was an unused substitute on more than 10 occasions and the midfielder is now keen on starting regularly elsewhere.
According to Mirror, he is personally open to joining the Red Devils and the onus is on the club to reach a transfer agreement.
PSG purchased the combative midfielder from Sporting for £51 million and they are expected to demand a similar transfer fee.
United, on the other hand, will be hoping to negotiate a lesser fee up front of the South American star due to their limited budget.
They need to be wary of breaking the PSG spending limits. This could urge them to negotiate strongly with the French giants.
