The Spaniard is one of the best defensive midfielders in La Liga and he has been tipped to leave Sociedad for some period of time.

Arsenal are among his main admirers and they have already attempted to land his signature on a couple of occasions in the past.

They are still interested in landing his services, but Zubimendi has now insisted that he is clearly happy to stay at Sociedad.

He said: "Where am I going to play next season? I'm going to be at Real Sociedad. I have a contract with Real Sociedad and that's where I feel most comfortable."

Zubimendi has been reluctant to leave his boyhood club over the years and it seems that he is not prepared for a fresh challenge.

He clearly has no plans of moving abroad in his career and could be eyeing a move to either Barcelona or Real Madrid in future.
