Man Utd agree fee to sign French wonderkid, pushing for transfer
Manchester United have reached an agreement with Lille over the transfer fee for wonderkid Leny Yoro, according to Sky Sports.
The Red Devils are currently in advanced negotiations with Bayern Munich over the transfer of centre-back Matthijs de Ligt.
However, they are also open to the prospect of landing another central defender and Yoro is probably the preferred pick.
Sky Sports claim that United have already agreed a fee with Lille. The French outfit are prepared to sell him for a £42m package.
Despite this, a transfer is not straightforward. Yoro currently prefers a move to Real Madrid and he is awaiting their transfer bid.
Los Blancos have no desire to match United's offer at the moment and as things stand, United are playing the waiting game.
United have been ambitious since their minority takeover by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS. They are eyeing multiple signings.
The club finished a lowly eighth in the Premier League last term, but will be eyeing at least a top-four finish this time around.
