Man Utd enter talks with PSV to sign Cody Gakpo
Manchester United have now entered negotiations with PSV Eindhoven for the January transfer of Cody Gakpo.
The Dutch star has been in sensational form this campaign and he has 30 goal contributions from just 24 matches for PSV.
He was also superb for his nation at the World Cup with three goals and could now secure a big-money move elsewhere.
United have been long-term admirers of him and The Mirror claim that they are now in formal talks with PSV over a deal.
The Dutch club are going through financial difficulties at the moment and this could force them to sell Gakpo in January itself.
Gakpo also understands the precarious situation and he is prepared to leave the club if they can reach a suitable transfer agreement.
Arsenal and Real Madrid are also interested in the 23-year-old, but United are said to be favourites to pursue his services this winter.
Gakpo has his sights on joining the Red Devils for some time and it is reported that PSV are open to selling him for less than £50m.
