Man Utd get green light to sign Moroccan defender
Manchester United have received the green light to sign Bayern Munich defender Noussair Mazraoui, according to Foot Mercato.
The Red Devils have been in talks with Bayern for the right-back in recent days and they have now reached an agreement over the fee.
The Moroccan has also been given permission to travel to Manchester and he could undergo his medical within the next few days, as per reports.
United had initially planned to offload Aaron Wan-Bissaka before signing Mazraoui, but they are yet to receive a suitable transfer offer.
West Ham United have proposed to pay £10m for the 26-year-old, but the Red Devils are holding out for at least £18m to sanction his exit.
Hence, his departure could take much longer, but United are prepared to push through a deal for Mazraoui before the Community Shield game.
United face Liverpool in their final pre-season friendly tonight before taking on Manchester City for the Community Shield on August 10.
