'I am very happy': 22yo sends message after joining Chelsea
Filip Jorgensen has said that he is very happy after making the decision to join Chelsea from Villarreal this summer.
The Blues stepped up their interest in the 22-year-old goalkeeper last month and they secured his signature in a short space of time.
Villarreal initially rejected a €23m offer on the table, but they were convinced to sanction his sale after an improved €27m proposal.
Jorgensen has now revealed that there were some clubs calling for his signature, but he had no doubts after Chelsea joined the pursuit.
He said: "In the summer, we got some clubs calling, and they wanted me to come. But in the end, when Chelsea called, there was no doubt for me."
"The club and my agent, we knew it was Chelsea where we wanted to go, so I'm very happy."
Jorgensen is expected to start the new season as Robert Sanchez 's deputy, but the Dane will fancy his chances of becoming the number one.
Sanchez has been prone to goalkeeping errors in the past and Jorgensen needs to capitalise on the same to become an undisputed starter.
