Brighton sign Brajan Gruda

Having played for Germany's youth team at every single level, Gruda is hopeful that a move to the Premier League will improve his chanes of a call up to Germany's full national side. Last season in the Bundesliga Gruda scored 4 goals in 28 games for Mainz, and was one of the club's best players.

Brighton have signed Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle , Mats Wieffer from Feyenoord and Amario Cozier-Duberry from Arsenal , and the arrival of Gruda takes the club's transfer spending close to 100 million. Brighton have sold club legend Pascal Gross to Dortmund and have needed to improve their squad for the new campaign under newly appointed manager Fabian Hurzeler.

Gruda is expected to be an important member of the club's first-team squad for the new season.
