23yo star 'ready to travel' to Man Utd for transfer
Manchester United are reportedly close to landing the signature of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils sanctioned the sale of Scott McTominay to Napoli earlier today and he is expected to join them in the next couple of days.
The club will secure around £25m from his transfer and United could utilise those funds for a permanent move for Ugarte before the deadline.
The Red Devils have been reluctant to meet PSG's £51m price tag in recent weeks, but they are now more likely to pay the asking price.
Romano adds that Ugarte is 'ready to travel' to United as soon as the deal is finalised. He has already agreed terms over a long-term deal.
Ugarte has also received interest from several other elite European clubs, but he only wants to join United and has already given his word.
The 23-year-old is expected to replace Casemiro in the starting line-up at United once he adapts to the intensity of the Premier League.
