Liverpool star confirms he wants to leave the club
Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher has confirmed that he wanted to leave the club during the summer transfer window.
The Republic of Ireland international is widely regarded as one of the best back-up goalkeepers in the Premier League.
Kelleher has done tremendously to provide cover to Alisson Becker , but he has his sights on regular game time elsewhere.
Speaking in a press conference, Kelleher said: "I’ve made it clear in the last few years that I want to leave to be a number one."
"Sometimes from the outside looking in, it looks like maybe that’s 100 percent my decision but maybe at times it's not always in my hands as well."
Liverpool signed Giorgi Mamardashvilli from Valencia earlier this summer and he is expected to join the club next season.
The Georgia international has been signed as a successor to Alisson and Kelleher is most likely to head for the exit door next summer.
He is reportedly on the radar of multiple Premier League teams.
