Arsenal star could be out for one month after injury
Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard could be sidelined for one month after picking up an ankle injury on international duty.
The Norway international sustained the setback against Austria last night and he was grimacing in pain as he left the field.
Odegaard has since returned to London in a private plan. He was spotted with crutches but with only socks on his left foot.
It is now reported by The Mirror that Odegaard will undergo his tests in the coming days, but his situation is far from promising.
Arsenal are unaware of the extent of the ankle sprain, but it is claimed that he could be out of action for around four weeks at least.
The news is a huge setback for the Gunners, considering the lack of a quality back-up for Odegaard in the number 10 role.
Kai Havertz and Ethan Nwaneri are capable of playing in the position, but the latter has yet to make a start for the Gunners.
