Trent Alexander-Arnold breaks silence on his Liverpool future
Trent Alexander-Arnold has broken silence over his Liverpool future amid the uncertainty over his contract situation.
The right-back is one of the best players in the Premier League, but it is unclear whether he will be at Anfield next season.
Speaking to The Athletic, the 25-year-old has now revealed that he wants to be a Liverpool player for the rest of the campaign.
He added that trophies are an important factor to continue at the club.
He said: "I want to be a Liverpool player this season as a minimum, this is what I will say. Trophies are an important factor."
Real Madrid are reportedly admirers of the England international and they are currently keeping tabs on his situation at the Reds.
Should Alexander-Arnold fail to negotiate fresh terms by December, they could explore a pre-contract deal at the turn of the year.
Los Blancos could hand him a guaranteed starting role as Dani Carvajal is expected to be offloaded at the end of the campaign.
