Arsenal preparing January swoop for 26-goal striker?
Arsenal could make a January swoop for Lille striker Jonathan David, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Gunners were fancied to bolster the centre-forward position last summer, but they did not make any signing.
This has not ended the speculation and TMW claim that the Gunners are keeping tabs on David's situation at Lille.
David has entered the last year of his contract with the French outfit and he has yet to commit to a new renewal.
Lille are negotiating with him and his agent. If there is no breakthrough, he could be sold on the cheap this winter.
The French outfit could accept around £20m for his services. Arsenal could compete with Inter and Juventus for him.
David netted 26 goals for Les Dogues last term. He has continued his bright form this campaign with four goals to his name.
The Canada international is reportedly open to moving to the Premier League and it could well happen in January.
