In-form United star to leave on a free transfer?
Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen could leave on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of the campaign.
The Denmark international has been in splendid form for the Red Devils this term and he has already registered three goals and four assists.
His resurgence has made him an undisputed starter for United, but this is unlikely to change his future with the Mancunian giants.
The hierarchy have decided against extending his £150,000 per week contract. He is poised to leave the club after his deal expires on June 30.
United's stance is likely to frustrate plenty of fans, considering Eriksen has started to find his best form after overcoming an ankle issue.
He had a brilliant start to his Red Devils career before an ankle injury. He was far from his best last term, but has found his feet again.
Eriksen is aware of the stance from the United board. He needs to keep on performing to test the resolve of the hierarchy going forward.
