Erik ten Hag on Man Utd's poor finishing vs West Ham
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag highlighted the poor finishing from his side following the 2-1 Premier League win at West Ham United.
The Red Devils have had a dreadful start to the league campaign and they squandered another two points against the Hammers on the road.
However, the result could have been much different on another day. United had several clear-cut chances in the first half, but failed to find the net.
They eventually conceded the opening goal after the interval. United pulled level in the game, but the Hammers sealed the win with a fortuitous penalty.
Speaking after the defeat, Ten Hag was asked about the club's poor fortunes in front of goal. The Dutch tactician was quite frank with his response.
He said: "We have to look in the mirror, we don't score in a good game from our side.
"Create loads of chances and concede none, but when you lose in this way it's a bad feeling.
"Six or seven 100 per cent chances we should have scored. But when we don't score we have to stay calm."
With the loss, United have dropped to 14th in the league standings and they face another huge challenge against Chelsea at Old Trafford next weekend.
Prior to that, the club will be in Carabao Cup action in midweek. The Red Devils welcome Leicester City in the fourth round on Wednesday night.
