Man Utd ready to battle PSG to sign 26yo striker
Manchester United are prepared to go head-to-head with Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon, according to L'Equipe.
The 26-year-old has been in sensational form since his move to Portugal from Coventry City. He has already netted 63 goals from just 66 appearances for the club.
Gyokeres has a gentleman's agreement to leave the Portuguese champions at the end of the campaign and reports claim that he could be sold for a fee of around £63m.
PSG have recently entered the race for the marksman, but they are expecting United to make a move of their own with Ruben Amorim due to become their new manager.
Amorim recently agreed to part ways with Sporting to take control of United and there are widespread claims that Gyokeres could move in the same direction next summer.
Gyokeres has said that he is fully committed to Sporting at the current point of time, but the scenario could change come the end of the campaign with several elite clubs tracking him.
