Man Utd enter race to sign German star for free
Manchester United have entered the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah on a free transfer next summer.
The centre-back was linked with a move away from the German champions last summer, but Leverkusen eventually decided to keep him.
He is now expected to leave the club on a free transfer, considering he has no plans of extending his contract beyond June next year.
TBR Football claim that United have been alerted by his availability and they are already in contact with the defender's entourage.
Tah can negotiate a pre-contract at the turn of the year and United are expected to make an effort to sign him ahead of others.
Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are other Premier League clubs interested in landing the services of the Hamburg graduate.
The Red Devils could have the upper hand over their rivals with new manager Ruben Amorim set to operate with a three-man backline.
This could see Tah become an integral figure, considering he already has vast experience of playing in a similar formation at Leverkusen.
