Man Utd suffer fresh injury blow, defender out with hamstring injury
Manchester United have suffered a fresh injury setback ahead of the Premier League clash against Ipswich Town away from home.
The Red Devils have had plenty of injury troubles over the past 18 months and they have suffered another setback ahead of next weekend's game.
Victor Lindelof picked up a hamstring injury playing for Sweden vs Slovakia and he is now expected to be sidelined for some period of time.
The news is a blow for the Red Devils, considering the Swede would have been a nailed-on starter alongside Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez .
New manager Ruben Amorim is expected to play with a three-man backline and Lindelof's injury has presented a selection headache for the Portuguese.
Leny Yoro has just returned to training after foot surgery and may not be risked. Casemiro or Jonny Evans could start alongside the centre-back duo. Harry Maguire is injured.
Evans is the specialist option for the manager, but Casemiro could get the nod in a makeshift role if Amorim wants more intensity and work rate.
