Chelsea have clear stance on Kylian Mbappe
Chelsea are unlikely to enter the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe this summer, according to Ben Jacobs.
The west London giants are aiming to strengthen their attack with another striker, and they have recently been linked with an ambitious move for Mbappe.
The World Cup winner is expected to be sold by Paris Saint-Germain in the coming weeks, having refused to extend his contract which expires in June next year.
Chelsea have been mentioned as one of his main admirers, but Jacobs claims that the Blues have no interest whatsoever in purchasing the France international.
The Blues have recouped more than €250m from player sales this summer, but they have no desire of spending around €170-200m to sign Mbappe from PSG.
While the asking price is on the higher side, his wages are also astronomical at a staggering £1.2 million per week. This is out of Chelsea 's range.
Chelsea could face the risk of breaching Financial Fair Play limits by investing on Mbappe. Hence, they are unlikely to enter the pursuit.
