Serie A giants eye loan move for Chelsea striker
Juventus are planning a loan proposal for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Belgium international has been touted to join the Bianconeri over the past few days, but a transfer has not materialised.
The Turin giants were initially hoping to buy him for €40m after sanctioning the departure of Dusan Vlahovic for €65m.
However, they have not received any solid offers for Vlahovic, and the club are now likely to keep him for the campaign.
As a result, the Bianconeri are unlikely to afford the services of Lukaku, but they are hopeful of signing him on loan instead.
Chelsea are reluctant to consider another temporary deal for the striker, but could change their stance if there is a buy obligation.
It is left to be seen whether Juventus will make such a proposal. The club are currently focused on offloading outcasts.
The likes of Denis Zakaria and Leonardo Bonucci could head for the exit door between now and the transfer deadline.
