David de Gea gives green light for Bundesliga move
Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has given the green light to join Bayern Munich on a free transfer.
The Spain international kept 25 clean sheets for the Red Devils last season, and he also won the Premier League Golden Glove award.
Despite this, United decided against renewing his £375,000-a-week deal and were happy to release him at the end of the campaign.
It is now reported by Florian Plettenberg that De Gea has given the go-ahead to join Bayern, but he is currently not the first-choice.
The Bavarian giants prefer to sign Manchester City's Stefan Ortega . If a deal is unsuccessful, they could turn attention to De Gea.
Personal terms are unlikely to be a problem for the Spaniard, who is said to be determined to play again after missing a whole pre-season.
Bayern are currently uncertain over a return date for no.1 Manuel Neuer , who underwent a surgery to remove metal implants from his leg.
