Gianluca Scamacca failed to impress while at the Irons, and was sold to Atalanta in the transfer window for around £27 million. West Ham are still missing an attacker in their squad, and Yuri Alberto is a name they have been chasing for most of the transfer window .

As talks had reached a deadlock, Alberto's club Corinthians left the negotiating table but a sudden change of mind means that West Ham could sign the talent for a transfer fee of around £30 million on deadline day.

The Hammers have been very active in the transfer window , with arrivals of James Ward -Prowse, Edson Alvarez and Mohammed Kudus all moving to East London.
