David Ornstein on Arsenal's interest in Victor Osimhen
The Athletic journalist David Ornstein does not believe Arsenal will sign Victor Osimhen in the near future.
The Gunners are currently second in the Premier League standings and are only behind Tottenham Hotspur on goals scored.
They have been hugely consistent in the early part of the campaign, but there are still question marks over their striking options.
Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have netted a combined three league goals, and the club need much more to challenge for the title.
Amidst this, Arsenal have been linked with several big names including Osimhen, but Ornstein has ruled out a move for the Nigerian.
The reputed journalist feels the price and profile of the striker does not suit the Gunners and they may look for a more affordable option.
Ornstein added that Arsenal are unlikely to pursue a new marksman in January and may wait until the summer for a possible upgrade.
The news will come as a disappointment for Gunners fans, who have been predicting the purchase of a new centre-forward this winter.
