Man Utd ready to renew contracts of defensive duo
Manchester United are ready to renew the contracts of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof in the near future.
Wan-Bissaka and Lindelof have been key players under manager Erik ten Hag this year and the club are now looking into renewals.
The duo are currently contracted to the club until June 2024, and the hierarchy are set to trigger the 12-month extension clauses.
Once that is done, they will start negotiations with both players over new deals as Erik ten Hag is fully satisfied with them.
Anthony Martial also finds himself in a similar situation as the pair, but United are prepared to play the waiting game on him.
The Frenchman missed a staggering 29 games with injuries last term, and he is no longer the number one striker at the club.
Rasmus Hojlund has taken that position and reports claim that United could contemplate releasing Martial at the end of the season.
Martial is currently one of the highest earners at £250,000-a-week. It does not make sense to keep a back-up on such high wages.
