Chelsea loanee enjoying his time at Real Madrid
Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has said that he is very happy after making the loan move to Real Madrid last summer.
The Spaniard regained his number one position with the Blues last term and he was expected to start the current campaign in goal.
However, his situation completely changed in August after both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid made loan proposals for him.
Arrizabalaga obviously chose to join the latter, who attempted to sign him during his formative years with Athletic Bilbao in Spain.
The 29-year-old has now said that he is delighted by the decision to join Madrid and wants to enjoy every game to the fullest.
He said: "After what happened last summer I don't want to start thinking in October about what could happen in July. But what I can say is that I am very happy."
"Of course, I will not lack work and enthusiasm and I will try to help make Madrid's history even greater and enjoy every minute, every game to the fullest."
Madrid don't have the option to buy Arrizabalaga at the end of the season, but they could consider an approach if he continues to impress in goal.'
Thibaut Courtois , who is currently out with a long-term injury, will return as the number one. Arrizabalaga could act as his deputy next term.
