Romelu Lukaku on his summer Chelsea exit
Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku has said that he will disclose the events before his loan departure from Chelsea last summer.
Lukaku spent the previous season on loan with Inter Milan where he netted 14 goals across all competitions. They wanted to re-sign him on a permanent deal, but it did not materialise due to trust issues.
Juventus soon entered the race to sign him, but it was Roma who eventually reached an agreement with the Blues. Lukaku made the temporary move to the Giallorossi after accepting a 55 per cent pay-cut on his wages.
Speaking to reporters, Lukaku has now said that everyone would be shocked by his experience last summer. He promised to speak about the same in due course.
He said: "I'll talk in time [on the summer transfer window ] but if I really said how it went last summer, everyone would be shocked."
"There were times when I really thought I could explode, five years ago I probably wouldn't back down and I would."
