Mikel Arteta confirms double Arsenal injury blow
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed a double injury blow ahead of the Premier League meeting against Sheffield United at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners have made a good start to the Premier League campaign and they are currently third in the standings with 21 points on the board.
They will be aiming to close the gap to the top against the Blades, but ahead of the game, they are set to be without two key players with injuries.
Thomas Partey was absent for the Champions League trip to Sevilla with a muscle issue. Mikel Arteta has confirmed that he will be out for a few weeks.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Jesus sustained a hamstring injury during the same game. He provided a goal and an assist before his unfortunate setback.
Arteta has revealed that the Brazil international is the same case as Partey and he is set to be out of action for the next few weeks as well.
The news is a blow for the Gunners. With Jesus sidelined, Kai Havertz or Eddie Nketiah could lead the line against the Blades tomorrow.
In Partey's absence, Jorginho could continue as the defensive midfielder.
