Arsenal defender close to new long-term deal
Arsenal defender Ben White is close to putting pen-to-paper on a new long-term contract at the club, according to Mirror.
The Englishman is currently in his third season with the Gunners and he is an undisputed starter from the right-back position.
He still has three years left on his existing deal, but the hierarchy have made the decision to reward him with an improved salary.
Talks started at the beginning of the season and reports claim that he is now on the verge of committing his future to the Gunners.
The news is a huge boost for the club, who have ensured that they have tied up their key players to long and improved contracts.
White is one of the undroppables in the current squad. He has made the right-back position his own since the start of last season.
Aside from White, the likes of William Saliba , Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard have penned new deals since the summer.
