It is understood that Nick Pope will be out until February, and Martin Dubravka has been given a chance to take the number 1 slot at St James' Park, however Eddie Howe will be certain to be open to signing a new keeper in the January transfer window . De Gea has been looking for a new club for several months and is said to be expecting a wage of around £150,000 to choose his next destination.
Barcelona are known to be looking for a replacement for Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, with their German first choice goalkeeper also out through long-term injury. The Nou Camp side are ready to offer an 18 month deal to David De Gea and are confident that a deal can be wrapped up shortly.
