Man Utd handed big boost in signing Bundesliga striker
Manchester United have been handed a big boost in signing Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy amid his decision to snub a new contract.
The 27-year-old has been in sensational form for Stuttgart this campaign. He has amassed 18 goals and two assists from 14 games.
His form has caught the radar of the Red Devils and they have been handed a further boost with his decision to reject a new deal.
Stuttgart were aiming to buy his release clause with a new and improved deal, but the Guinean had no plans to accept the proposal.
He has his sights on a bigger challenge away from the club and a transfer could happen as soon as the transfer window reopens.
United are among his main admirers and they are expected to trigger his low €17.5m release clause at the earliest opportunity.
Guirassy is said to be flattered by the interest from United and he is likely to give preference to join them over other clubs.
