Tottenham set to hijack Man Utd transfer target?
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly opened discussions with the representative of Manchester United target Jean-Clair Todibo.
The Frenchman centre-back was heavily linked with the Red Devils during the summer transfer window , but they did not make a move to sign him.
United were planning to make an approach after selling Harry Maguire , but the former captain refused to consider leaving the Old Trafford club.
As a result, the Red Devils could not afford him due to FFP reasons and it is now claimed that Spurs are looking to bring him to England.
The north London giants have already spoken with his agent and the centre-back is willing to consider a move to the English capital.
The news will come as a huge blow for United, who are currently not in a position to spend unless there are high-profile departures.
Todibo would be a top-notch acquisition for them, considering his recovery pace, strong distribution and physical presence in the box.
