Man Utd leading chase to sign Bologna striker?
Manchester United are reportedly leading the pursuit to sign Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee in January.
The Red Devils have struggled to find a regular goalgetter this term and they have netted only 21 times in the Premier League.
Rasmus Hojlund recently scored his maiden league goal for the club, but United need more firepower to finish in the top four.
Zirkzee has been identified as a potential solution in January and Calciomercato claim that they are favourites to sign him.
However, there is a huge stumbling block over the price. Bayern have the option to re-sign by triggering a €40 million release clause.
The rest of the clubs would need to negotiate with Bologna, who are reluctant to part ways with the Dutchman this winter.
The Serie A outfit are currently flying high in the fourth spot in Serie A and have their sights on Champions League qualification.
Bologna prefer to keep Zirkzee for the campaign before cashing in. The 22-year-old has bagged eight goals and four assists this term.
