Chelsea told price to sign French star from Nice
Chelsea will reportedly need to pay around €60 million to sign defender Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice this winter.
The Frenchman has been a key player in the heart of the defence for the Ligue 1 outfit, who are second in the table.
Nice have been reluctant to listen to offers for Todibo, but reports claim that they could be persuaded to sell for a premium fee.
If Chelsea or any other club were to offer €60 million, it is unlikely that the French outfit will turn down the transfer proposal.
As things stand, the Blues have no desire of paying such a fee, considering they have Financial Fair Play issues to deal with.
The club need to sell first to make a high-profile signing. There is talk of Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah leaving the club.
However, neither is likely to leave on a permanent basis. It could be a loan deal with an option or obligation to buy next summer.
Hence, the Blues may need to wait until the summer transfer window before lodging a formal offer to sign Todibo from Nice.
