Man Utd confirm big injury blow for key striker
Manchester United have confirmed a big injury blow with Anthony Martial set to be sidelined until April after a groin operation.
The Frenchman has been nursing the setback for some period of time and he has now undergone a surgery to solve his complaint.
As a result, he will be out for around 10 weeks. The news is a blow for the Red Devils, who have struggled in the number nine role.
Rasmus Hojlund was signed for big money in the summer, but he has netted just two goals in the Premier League campaign so far.
Marcus Rashford has gone through a similar pattern for United. Martial has not been better either but there is now a lack of depth.
United are not planning to pursue a new striker at the moment and this will most likely put more pressure on the shoulders of Hojlund.
The Dane has had a tough introduction of English football. He now needs to stay fit for the next two months with Martial sidelined.
