Arsenal defender could move to Galatasaray soon
Arsenal defender Cedric Soares could make the switch to Galatasaray on a permanent basis in the coming days.
The right-back was linked with a move to Benfica on Thursday, but a deal did not materialise due to his wage demands.
As a result, the Portuguese champions pulled the plug on the negotiations, but Cedric could still leave Arsenal this month.
The Turkish transfer window does not close until February 9 and Galatasaray have proposed a two-and-a-half year deal.
Cedric has yet to respond to the proposal, but the Gunners will be hoping to offload him over the next few days.
Mikel Arteta has made it clear that the Portuguese has no future at the club, having made just one start this term.
That came in a Champions League dead rubber game against PSV where both sides had qualified for the last 16.
Cedric's current deal expires at the end of the season. Arsenal could accept a nominal fee to sanction his departure.
