Malo Gusto and Ben Chilwell could line up in the right and left wing-back positions respectively. We could see Thiago Silva accompanied by Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi in central defence.

Further forward, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo are the best defensive midfielders in the squad. The young duo are lacking confidence, but should still get the nod in the starting XI.

Conor Gallagher could be the player dropped to compensate for an additional defender. The attack is likely to comprise of Cole Palmer , Raheem Sterling , who could play either side of Christopher Nkunku .
