Arsenal should sign Ollie Watkins this summer
Arsenal have been linked with several strikers over the past few months and they are yet to identify their main target for the summer.
Brentford 's Ivan Toney and Napoli's Victor Osimhen have been mentioned as potential names, but the club are still assessing their options.
In our opinion, the hierarchy should make an ambitious swoop for Watkins, who has been in the form of his life for Villa this season.
The Englishman has amassed 16 goals and 12 assists from 32 appearances. He has been by far the best striker in terms of consistency.
Watkins only recently put pen-to-paper on a new long-term deal, but Villa could be tempted to sell him this summer if they miss out on the top four.
With the ongoing PSR rules, the Midlands outfit may need to balance their books and a figure of around £80m could persuade them to sell.
Watkins may be 28, but would be a good signing for the Gunners. He could play at the highest level for the next four to five years at least.
